Origamiyama is a hobby and education site. We work to keep every tutorial accurate, but all content is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.
Images
Step-by-step fold diagrams are original vector drawings made for this site. Photographs of finished models and arrangements are in part digitally created illustrations: they show what the finished fold looks like, but a particular photo may not depict a physical object that exists. Where a photo differs from what your paper can do, trust the diagrams and the written steps.
Designs and credit
Traditional models (the crane, the masu box, the fortune teller and their relatives) belong to everyone. Where a model has a known designer, we name them and link to their own instructions rather than re-publishing their diagrams. If you believe something here oversteps, email admin@origamiyama.com and we will fix it.
Safety
Origami is about as dangerous as reading, with two exceptions: paper edges cut fingers, and small folded parts are a choking hazard for very young children. Folding with kids is wonderful — just keep the tiny models away from the under-threes.
Money folds
Folding banknotes is legal in most places as long as the bill stays intact and spendable. Do not cut, glue or mark currency; our money tutorials never require it.
